Where to Look
There are loads of people out there who want you to rent their flat. They advertise in lots of different places and obviously some are better than others. Because we don't want to get sued we can't tell you who the really bad ones are although they won't be listed on this website. If you are unsure ask around a bit and you should be able to find out who the worst ones are.
Try ESPC. It is a newspaper with listings of flats to rent in Edinburgh.
The board in Potterrow outside the EUSA office can also be a good place to find flats. These tend to be advertised by other students so there is a good mix. It can be an especially good place to find one room in a flat that is already occupied.
Some students simply find an area they like the look of (see the Where to Live section) and spend an afternoon with a mobile phone and their future flatmates walking around looking for advertised properties.
